Trump Signed 9/11 Victim Fund Extension...The Media Covers It Curiously

President Donald Trump on Monday signed an act into law which authorizes the extension of the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund. Pretty much permanently. Until sometime after 2090.

But we're not seeing much coverage on that. We're hearing about how, as he signed the bill, he spoke off the cuff yet again. And this time he commented on "being down there. Spending a lot of time down there." Surely he meant Ground Zero. But the mainstream media ran with it, some going so far as to report on what Trump was actually doing and saying on the morning of September 11. He very clearly said the word "aftermath." He was very clearly painting a picture of the conditions at Ground Zero, what first responders were breathing in, etc. But the media bludgeoning must continue I guess.

And if you didn't see Trump's comments before signing the bill, you probably didn't see footage of him signing the bill, either. You probably saw Jon Stewart. After all, it was his impassioned plea and downright outrage over the whole bill's lack of attention that got the ball rolling again. But I bet you didn't see THIS clip of Stewart.
