CONNECTICUT: Benefit for Local DJ to Support His Children

CONNECTICUT: Benefit for Local DJ to Support His Children

Please listen to an interview with DJ Darth Fader & DJ Mavrx as they talk about their friend and fellow DJ. Mental illness affects us all and knows no social, economic or racial status. This event is much more than a fundraiser for Pauly-O's children, but also an opportunity to grieve together and to provide an outlet for conversation on mental health.

On December 2, 2018 BarCode in Orange will host a fundraiser for the family of DJ Pauly-O (Paul Oquendo), who recently lost his battle with depression. In an effort to surround his children with love and support we decided to put together this GoFundMe page for Ava, 9, and Alex, 11. Please join friends, family and members of the DJ community from 2pm to 6pm as we pre-game the Patriots & Vikings Game. There will be prizes, food and fundraising efforts. The GoFundMe link is below. Day of the event, it's only $10 to enter and that includes your food. Drink specials will be available. 100% of the door & fundraising proceeds will go to Pauly-O's family.

Paul Oquendo, known to many as DJ Pauly-O, loved fiercely. That love could be seen towards friends, music, and most importantly, his children.

On October 23rd Paul lost his battle with depression and his family and friends were left devastated when he tragically passed away. In an effort to surround his children with love and support we decided to put together this Go Fund Me page for Ava, 9, and Alex, 11.

Paul had a very special relationship with his children, he often spoke of how they brought light to his world even at the times where he felt his darkest. We are hoping to raise as much money as possible in order to help support Ava and Alex through an unimaginably hard time and show them that we appreciated the light their father brought into our lives.

All funds raised will be going to the children’s mother Dory to have exclusive use and control of, in order to support his children. We want to honor Pauly’s memory in the way we think he would have most wanted, by doing everything in our power to make sure Ava and Alex have what they need, and know that their father was deeply loved.  Thank you to everyone for your love and support. CLICK HERE to support!
