Everybody Loves Lola
Judy Umstead has been an animal control officer for 20 years... as you can tell, saving and caring for animals is her passion!
Last year when she was diagnosed with and treated for cancer, she decided to do something she always wanted to do but had put off in the past. She wrote a children's book about her beloved dog, Lola. The story of Lola follows the journey of a naughty little Labrador Retriever who got into trouble and had to find a new home. Lola found her home with Judy who had faith that she was really a good dog, and she went on to become a wonderful therapy dog. She visits hospitals, schools, assisted living facilities and even goes on TV! Lola has since become a Police Comfort Dog for The Town of Watertown where she has her own vest, badge and ID.
She continues to go wherever she is needed, and that's why.... Everybody Loves Lola!
A portion of book sales will go toward helping animals in animal cruelty cases.
