Ten-Year-Old Wins Science Fair By Proving Tom Brady Cheated

A ten-year-old Kentucky boy used science to prove that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady gained an unfair advantage by using underinflated footballs during the 45-7 shellacking of the Indianapolis Colts in the 2015 AFC Championship game. Ace Davis presented his findings at his school's science fair and came in first place.

Ace set out to prove that footballs that are not fully inflated can be thrown farther than balls with the correct amount of air pressure. He conducted an experiment using his mother and sisters as test subjects. They threw footballs of varying inflation and he recorded how far the ball traveled. He showed that the underinflated balls traveled farther, thus giving Brady an unfair advantage by using them in a game.

After his science fair project went viral, Davis spoke with a reporter from NFL Draft Diamonds about his project. He was asked why he decided to do his science fair project on the Patriots star quarterback. His response? "Because I hate Tom Brady, he’s been accused of cheating before, I want him to be caught."

Davis said that he doesn't believe Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time and thinks that honor belongs to Joe Montana.

After winning his local science fair, Ace is preparing to take his project to the Kentucky state science fair, which he expects to win.
