Connecticut Humane Society's 2021 Diamonds in the Ruff Virtual Gala!

There’s a lot to celebrate at the Connecticut Humane Society, and the upcoming 2021 Diamonds in the Ruff virtual gala will do just that.

Despite the continued challenges of the past year, CHS has expanded programs to keep pets in homes, match homeless pets with new families, and provide extensive, life-saving medical care. The annual gala will commemorate recent success stories of pets in need, while raising funds to heal the next pets who’ll arrive at CHS doors.

Guests near and far can join the fun from home, their pets can be right by their side, and anything goes for the dress code! More information and all purchasing options can be found at CThumane.org/diamonds.

Paw Packs are now on sale through Oct. 31 to kick off the festivities. Each comes with wine or beer, CHS signature wine or pint glasses, and a pet toy.

Raise a glass to the pets during the live virtual show, set for Nov. 4 at 6:30 p.m. The show features VIPs (very important pets) and will have a special twist: Guests will have the chance to see three CHS programs in action, and then vote for the program that made the biggest impact on them. 100% of the event’s ticket, auction and sponsorship proceeds will go to these programs, with each receiving a portion based on the vote.

The online auction also kicks off Nov. 4 and runs through Nov. 6. Auction items up for grabs include a beach vacation in a beautiful North Carolina home, Giants tickets, Yard Goats tickets, amazing artwork, a Travelers Championship Tournament gift basket, wine packages, pet goodies and more.

All proceeds will go toward saving the lives of more pets in need, whether they are orphaned kittens who need bottle-feeding, dogs in need of surgery for injured limbs, or domestic rabbits found abandoned outside.

The event’s title sponsor is Hill’s Pet Nutrition; presenting sponsors are Columbia Threadneedle Investments, Newport One and Launch Communications; the gold sponsor is Bravecto; silver sponsors include Sullivan and LeShane, Amenta Emma Architects, Loftex and Conway, Londregan, Sheehan and Monaco Attorneys at Law; the bronze sponsor is HomeLight; and the media sponsor is Connecticut Public.
