A woman allegedly stripped naked and pooped on her seat as her Southwest Airlines flight landed, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to NBC News.
Police responded to a report at Chicago's Midway Airport after Flight 418, which departed from Philadelphia, after a passenger took her clothes off and defecated on a plane seat. Southwest Airlines confirmed that an investigation into the alleged incident was ongoing in a statement to NBC News.
“Our teams are reaching out to those onboard to apologize for the situation and any delay to their travel planes,” the airline said.
“Nothing is more important to Southwest than the safety of our customers and employees, and we appreciate the professionalism of our flight crew,” the statement concluded.
There were not additional details on what happened to the passenger after the incident took place. The plane was reportedly taken out of service while it underwent cleaning.
The incident is the second involving a Southwest Airlines plane to take place at Midway Airport recently. Last month, a landing jet nearly collided with a taxiing jet, which the National Transportation Safety Board said was possibly caused by a sun glare.

“It’s a near-miss, and it’s a scary situation,” he added.
