The FBI has arrested a man in New York in connection with an explosion at a fertility clinic in Palm Springs, California. The arrest took place Tuesday evening (June 3) at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York. The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Daniel Park from Kent, Washington, was taken into custody by federal authorities.

The explosion, which occurred last month, devastated the American Reproductive Centers fertility clinic, causing significant damage and shattering nearby windows. Witnesses described the scene as chaotic, with a loud boom and glass scattered across the street. Investigators believe that the bomber, identified as Guy Edward Bartkus, died in the blast. Bartkus was linked to nihilistic and anti-pro-life writings, and officials are investigating whether he had any assistance in carrying out the attack.

The FBI noted that Bartkus attempted to livestream the explosion and left behind writings that are being examined to understand his motives. The incident is considered one of the largest bombing scenes in Southern California. Federal prosecutors are expected to provide further details at a news conference in Los Angeles.
