Ozzy Tour Cancelled...But New Record 'Ordinary Man' Still Drops Today!

Every child of the 80's knows how spectacular it was when the "Prince of Darkness" lent his vocals to the Lita Ford hit "Close My Eyes Forever". The song cracked the Top 10 in 1988 and is probably regarded as Ozzy's greatest duet. It used to be.

His epic ballad "Ordinary Man," the title-track to his latest effort, and boasting Elton John co-vocals, easily bests it. With all due respect, of course.

Here is a list of a blizzard of Ozzy duets, some you may know and some you may not. And one you definitely need to.

  1. Ordinary Man As mentioned, it's the name of Osbourne's latest full-length, and features Elton John. It's a beautiful rock ballad that one would think should close out the record, as opposed to sit comfy at Track 4.
  2. Close My Eyes Forever Also as mentioned, Ozzy had a huge hit with Lita Ford, at the height of her success with her hit single "Kiss Me Deadly," and Ozzy's battle-cry that wraps the song is the star of the show. And her torn jeans the star of the video!
  3. I Ain't No Nice Guy On paper, Ozzy dueting with Motorhead's Lemmy Kilmister must seem like a total no-brainer. Catch here is, they went the ballad route. Yes, Lemmy sang as softly as he ever did, and the song should have been a huge hit.
  4. Take What You Want Also featured on the "Ordinary Man" full-length, this song featuring Post Malone doubles as the releases' first single. (Travis Scott is also featured.) Everyone agreed upon first listen that this bat still had wings. Mighty ones at that. He's done wuite a bit with Malone, with even another track, "It's A Raid," released overnight to coincide with the dropping of "Ordinary."
  5. Crucify The Dead Any vocalist who gets asked to be featured on a solo Slash outing is in good hands, from Myles Kennedy to Fergie. This time around it was Slash who was in good hands, with this 10-year-old ditty holding strong today.
  6. Shock The Monkey Yes, that one. Ozzy loved the Peter Gabriel hit, so when rockers Coal Chamber got up the nerve to gauge Ozzy's interested in joining them in the studio in 1999, front man Dez Fafara told MTV, "He just said 'I'm into it." We are too.
